Listened to "Armageddon" today, haven't played it for several months, what a killer record,a seamless mix of industrial/synth rock combined with hip-hop vocals and some classical music influences. The track "Melt" is an awesomely powerful and solid track, for me at least :) Great band, I'll be checking out more of their back catalouge in the near future.
Whah--?!?! HEY. Despising both Reps and Dems [makes me a Nihilist? ;P], I like Stand Up as much or more than the next guy from the USA -- but Can't Believe is a masterpiece with its own uniquely perfected energy. I don't know the deal on the musics, but I recommend that Stromkern fans check Myspace for it [unless I'm not allowed to say "myspace" here]. Under-rated group with under-rated songs... But maybe I'm wrong, I can't carry a tune out of a paper bag.
The Democrats should have picked up on Stromkern and put them into things...though perhaps some of it may be just a touch too radical. Stromkern kept alive a kind of smart liberal outrage we haven't really seen since the 60s. It's a shame that they aren't more known for this in political circles.
Hell, there was a hiphop *core* to Falco's "Rock Me Amadeus" and "Der Kommissar" from the 80s. The hiphop aspect of things can escape people if it is taken out of its usual context. There is definitely a hiphop vibe to Stromkern's vocals. Very colorful, interesting and smart band. Very cool.
