STONUS is a five piece Heavy Rock band with psychedelic and stoner influences from Nicosia, Cyprus created in 2015. After releasing two demos, "Admit it" and "Burning Mushrooms" and a single "Coming in" on August 2017 they released their first EP "Supertrip" consisting of five songs, and later on the same year the single “Memories” was released.

On 18th October 2018 they released their 2nd EP with the title "Lunar Eclipse" which is their most complete work so far and with a quite different sound compared to their earlier works. It is pretty clear that Stonus are still searching for a musical identity that will distinguish them but what's also clear is their flirt with desert rock especially in this latest EP.

"Lunar Eclipse" is consisted of 5 tracks if you count the intro and the outro, which play a sginificant role in the flow of the EP. Far more mature than their previous releases it may be an indication that the band has concluded to a specific 'sound'. Apparently the whole desert atmosphere was quite appealing to my ears and generated some expectations for the future making me eager for a full album.

I find no point in getting into more details because I would prefer to have a full album in my hands to do that and I consider this EP as Stonus' one more nice step towards that direction. There is no rush for them as long as they keep working like they seem they are doing so far.
Just click play and enjoy a nice trip with Stonus' "Lunar Eclipse".
