“It is a great thing to have a good calling card, a song that's so popular and gives you some identification.” 34 years down the line and Steve Forbert still thinks highly of “Romeo's Tune.” Forbert talks us through the writing and recording (and re-recording, and re-recording) of his signature song: http://www.songfacts.com/blog/playingmysong/steve_forbert_-_romeo_s_tune_/

My top three are all off Mission of the Crossroad Palms, so much later, and then the remaining two are from Streets of This Town. The Forbert records from 1987-95 are up there with my all-time favorites by anyone.
