I have to agree with you. I do like Starship Trooper off The Yes Album and I'm partial to the cheese of 90125 occasionally, but "real" Yes doesn't appeal to me. Starcastle may be too safe, but I find them so much more listenable for that.

I agree 100% with last 4 comments bellow. I was just about to write that, but there is no need now. :)

So many ppl criticise the similarity to Yes - I actually think of it as a plus! This is definately my favorite US prog rock band from the 70's! :) Such uplifting tunes!

Para mi tienen solamente influencia de YES, no tratan de copiar o plagiar. La banda tiene estilo y los integrantes se destacan en sus instrumentos.

It's sounds a lot like Yes, but if Starcastle live sounds anything like this harmony wise, I give these guys props regardless.

For a moment I forgot what I was listening to, then I tried to remeber and Yes was the first thing that came to mind. Starcastle is pretty much the same as Yes, but the original still is better, I think. But what if Starcastle came first? Then we would be angry at Yes for shameless plagiarism! :D

Yea, I have one of Herb's C++ books too... he's not just a good (musical) keyboardist!

Jon Anderson on vocals? Rick Wakeman on keyboards? Chris Squire on bass? It's really sounds like there playing :P REALLY! And more strangely.... Starcastle's material from the 70's resembles Yes from the 90's ^^

Haha, it would only make sense that a 70s prog musician would go on to be a computer programming author. Awesome.
