Sir Vaylance was formed in 1992 by brothers Gavin Driskell (lead vocals) and Niles Driskell (guitar) in Indianapolis, IN. Drummer Sean Steinhardt was added in 1993. The band's bassist, Jon Gunnell and keyboardist, Troye Kinnett currently (May 2008) play in John Mellencamp's band. Sir Vaylance's sound meshes the eclectic chord stylings of Queensryche with the bludgeoning guitar attack of Master of Puppets era Metallica.
