Ana Silvera is a London born singer-songwriter. She mainly writes music inspired by cabaret, jazz, classical and folk sounds. She plays the piano and the guitar, and her lyrics are very literary and poetic in style. Her voice ranges from very deep and jazzy to high and pure. She is operatically trained, and appreared at the English National Opera and also the Royal Opera House when she was a teenager - in fact she performed in the same opera as rising star Mika, 'Die Frau Ohne Schatten'. From around 2001-2004 she worked in Berlin with producer Boris Blenn and appeared on tracks from his Electric Universe and Galaxy projects and also wrote a couple of tracks as Silvera and Blenn. One of these, 'What you Are' was released on BMG records. She is now working with producer Tony Platt, who has worked with the likes of Bob Marley, AC/DC and more recently jazzers Claire Teal and Soweto Kinch.
