Biography

Signal Versus Noise, four piece alt rock/pop punk from Portland, OR, formed in 2016 when Alek Kalinowski, lead guitar, and Josh Nunn, bass, from the rock group Starship Renegade joined with Nic Quinones, metalcore drummer from When the Broken Burn, and vocalist Mark Schmidt. The band's sound evolved to more closely reflect their interest in pop punk while still retaining a strong rock ethic. High end guitar riffs, unapologetic drums and strong vocals make Signal Versus Noise a high energy festival and live show band that delivers a fun and positive performance. They tour twice a year and perform extensively throughout the Pacific Northwest when not on the road. Signal Versus Noise released their self-named debut ep in July 2018. Their single, Take It From Me, was released in September, 2018. In July 2019 Signal Versus Noise delivered an acoustic version of Nineteen and a new release, Cut My Losses on July 26th. The official Youtube video for Cut My Losses was released on August 2, 2019.
