Biography
Sidney Hilston is an independent singer, songwriter, producer, digital artist, and licensed cosmetologist from Athens, Ohio. She's been writing and making music since she was 7 years old.
Sidney released her debut album Tragedy Galaxy in September 2015 when she was just 14 years old, but soon after pulled it from streaming services.
Later that year she released her first EP titled Scream Season, which was heavily inspired by Grimes' earlier work, such as Halfaxa, Darkbloom, and Visions.
Sidney spent most of 2016 working on a Bonnie & Clyde themed concept album called Jilted Gangster Gal, and released multiple singles to promote it, but she eventually decided to scrap the project. However, it was later released as a BandCamp exclusive for fans in early 2019.
In 2017 Sidney released her sophomore album Teenage Waste of Space, which became her most commercially successful album and still remains her most popular work.
Soon after in mid-2017, Sidney released Town Fair, an EP consisting of old demos that also included a then unreleased song from Jilted Gangster Gal.
In August of 2019, Sidney released her third offical album titled Dead Girls Garden, and has since teased a deluxe version.
In mid 2020, Sidney started gaining attention on TikTok for posting comedy videos.
