Scott Richmond

Scott Richmond is a sing-songwriter from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Since the release of his debut album, Come What May, in the spring of this year, he has been catching the attention of fans, press, and music industry pros alike. His music is receiving airplay on more than 40 radio stations across Canada, his album has reached the Top 20 on multiple independent folk and roots charts, he is making guest appearances on TV and radio for stations such as CTV, CBC, Radio-Canada, and GlobalTV, and he will be showcasing at this year’s BreakOut West during the Western Canadian Music Awards.

As a Nashville recording artist, Richmond worked with such luminaries as Colin Linden (Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, The Band, Bob Dylan), Kris Wilkinson (Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Garth Brooks), and Kim Morrison (Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hank Williams Jr., Ray Charles) to create an album that has been described as “breathtaking” by Yvonne Valnea of Last Tango Productions and “stunningly compelling” by Kerry Doole of Exclaim! magazine, who also added that “Richmond has a virile, gutsy voice a mite reminiscent of Eddie Vedder, and it's a perfect vehicle for his literate and gritty folk meets country material. For his live performance, a string section and back-up vocalists accompany Richmond and his band, recreating the beauty and innovativeness that his music is known for. Whether it is his high-energy folk or his gritty country doused in blues, Richmond has been captivating listeners all over the world with his poignant lyrics, his enchanting melodies, and his soulful vocals.
