  • Memories of concerts past

(Writer’s note: This is adapted and updated from a piece I put on my MySpace blog in 2005, then re-posted on my Mog page in November 2006.)

Personally, I’ve had a long streak of concert going in the past two years (about 36 shows in 36 months). To me it is really only amazing in that I had a pretty dry run in the several years before. Not a whole lot of shows was I going to from about 1999 to 2004. In fact, during those years, I had become kinda sick of concert hopping, all that being surrounded by sweaty raucous people in a loud and sometimes confined space. No, not fun. So, I had only gone to see bands and musicians I REALLY wanted to see.

The years 2005 and 2006 have been VERRRRRRRY different. The main difference I think is I found the perfect concert partner: the wonderful, delicious Heather. Girl likes the same music as me, likes to get dressed and ready to go play and dance and rock out. She is my concert soulmate.
