When two armies consisting of totally 6 300 tanks, 4 900 aircraft and 2.1 million men clash they're bound to make some noise and leave a story to be told. The battle of Kursk in 1943 remains one of the largest military engagements of history and was the last German blizkrieg offensive in the east. Even though the Soviet Union lost considerably more men in the campaign it was a decisive Soviet history.
