This song is a perfect example of why rush shouldn't be considered an old band. While most 60's/70's-formed bands still together are well past their best and cashing in on past glory, Rush are still innovating and creating some of their best music. I genuinely thought Snake and Arrows was one of their best albums and I have just as high hopes for Clockwork Angels.
It was incredibly kind of Rush to release two new songs on my birthday. The fact that they're as awesome as they are is just icing on the proverbial cake. The more I listen to this one, the more I love it. Complex, varied, and engaging.
