I've been to see a lot of bands live but seeing Riverside live was just an experience I will never forget. Amazing show and amazing musicianship. Their music is good enough in the studio but when performed live it really comes alive.
On the process of discovering "Love, Fear and the Time Machine". At first an easy-listening album that keeps you coming for more every time. I would go for top picks "#Addicted" and "Caterpillar and the Barbed Wire" but this is progressive rock so let's keep it on the album level, please, thank you.
I'm a little disappointed with Eye of the Soundscape. While I like the new stuff, I didn't expect that nearly half of this album has been released already as b-sides and bonus discs going back ten years, all of which I already own (I always go with the deluxe editions). Oh well, as a tribute to Piotr's untimely death, it works quite well.
I appreciate it very much when bands are not afraid of showing their genre diversity and of puzzling listeners with new unexpected material. The fact that musiciants a not mining the same field can tell a lot about them. Thank you very much for the"Eye of the Soundscape"!
