Went to see you guys live for the first time at The Bottom of the Hill and had to leave early. Might have been fine with ear plugs but you guys were just a bit too much sound without them! I love the recordings, will remember to bring ear plugs the next time!
(Also, the supporting acts were great, especially liked Benjamin Henderson's set!)
I'd respectively disagree. The first 2/3 or so are fantastic, and then it gets a little eh for me.
BTW: As someone who just listened to their entire discography yesterday (unbiased), the new album is much better than The Unmistakable Man but that's just coming from a person who doesn't care much for country music.
Also saw them last night after loving their discography (free tickets ftw) and it was the best show I've ever been to where I didn't really know the bands playing. The Drowning Men were great and River City Extension were just unbelievably good. I've been to so many shows over the last year and can't remember seeing a band enjoy playing their music as much as RCE was.
Saw them live Sunday night at the Kevin Devine concert at Fitzgerald's! It was FANTASTIC!
The sound messed up right before they played the last song so they came off the stage right down in the middle of us and were dancing, playing, and singing their hearts out anyways. It was SO awesome :DD
