Rina Hugo is a famous South African singer. In 1978, Rina Hugo was named winners of the ATKV 's Crescendo together with Bruce Sanderson .
She obtained her B.Mus. degree at the North-West University (then still Potchefstroom University for CHO) in 1970. She was also a member of the Alabama Student Society. Rina excelled in practically all genres that can be practiced by a soloist namely: Opera , oratorio , operetta, musicals, the art song and light music.
On 26 January 2020, Rina was also inaugurated as a living legend in the South African legends museum. She was one of only 20 legends of whom a bust was also made.
