Who is Renee Renee ?
He's a dude more colorful than a Rubik's Cube and just as hard to figure out. A man with multiple talents and personalities, Renee Renee can best be summed up in one word, entertaining.
He.s a musician, poet, painter, and cowboy. He's an Eighties skier or even a jet-setting playboy, but most importantly, he's a person who walks in the door and lights up an area with fun and excitement.
A native Canadian, Renee Renee (real name: Jason Bothe) grew up skateboarding, snowboarding, doing artwork and hanging with friends.
His paintings are sought after (the Prince of Thailand and Tommy Chong both own pieces), he designs clothing, and he's well known for his off the wall antics as part-time host of the Slam City Jam skateboard contest.
He's an all-around renaissance guy, and whatever he's doing, people love to be a part of it.
Renee got a Michael Jackson singing microphone when he was 6 and has been performing ever since. His latest solo CD titled "White Heat" is an "eclectic electro hip-hop jambalaya." In addition to his solo work, Renee frontmans the band Back Lip, a rock group he formed with skateboard phenom Danny Way.
It's impossible to accurately describe Renee Renee, how can you sum up a guy with that many personalities? But he has become an urban legend of sorts, and anyone fortunate enough to spend time with him has been on the receiving side of his aim to amuse. Renee Renee's style is far from highbrow, it's downright tasteless at times, but he's got a witty, smart approach to life that is infectious.
You can catch Renee Renee (just look for the neon) at various action sports events, movie premiers, art shows and Hollywood parties. Heís also featured in numerous skate/snow/surf/music videos and can be seen in the new DC Mtn. Lab DVD.
Spend a little time with Renee Renee and youíll understand what so many of us have been fortunate enough to witness. Just be ready for the unexpected, because you wonít see the same person twice and your stomach will hurt with laughter.
