Nope, it's not a typo. It really is called Glasgowbury, a small music festival in the Sperrin Mountains just about 5 miles from Draperstown here in Northern Ireland. It's a great showcase for bands from north and south of the border.
29 bands, about 400 people, BYO. It actually ended up being 28 bands, Neil Fallon was stuck in Boston due to thunderstorms or something, but I think he made it in time for the accoustic set at the afterparty the following night.
Most people, including most bands were staying at the camp site. The majority of people knew each other, so it was more like a big family outing.
The first band we saw was Jaded Sun (website) from Dublin.
Good old-fashioned rock'n'roll, great stuff.
Then we headed over to the other tent where Paddy Nash (myspace) was just about to start. He's a great singer/songwriter here from Derry.
