Biography
A legendary band made up of four best friends that sold more records than any other band in history. During their original three year, eight album run, they toured the galaxy and helped jumpstart the careers of bands like Metallica and Queen. After a falling out between members, the band came to an end on March 5, 2020, exactly three years after their formation. This would change on September 10, 2021, when Jade The Epic (fka Jackson The Epic) brought Rectus Abdominus back as a solo project and released its ninth studio album, 091021. Two more albums followed in the form of Flaccid and Swagnum Dopus in November 2021 and January 2022 respectively. After this 7 month tenure as a revived solo project, Jeff The Epic rejoined the band in April 2022, and immediately began work on the band’s 12th studio album, To Infinity And Your Mom. After the promotional cycle for the album ended in early 2023, plans were made for the band to end, but those plans were quickly abandoned in May of that year when original members Cameron Masse and Kenonio rejoined the band for the first time in nearly 4 years. Shortly before the completion of their 14th album, Rectus Abdominus and the Palace of the Porcelain Throne, Kenonio was killed in a tragic public auto-asphyxiation incident. As a result, Sammy Razorsharp was brought in as a last-minute replacement, and the album and its counterpart, Poop Factory Chronicles Chapter 1: The Emoji Album were dedicated in Kenonio's honor. Both albums were released on July 28, 2023.
