This track is from the Puppet History episode entitled 'The Dancing Plague'. This episode gives a general account of the Dancing Plague of 1518 in Strasbourg, Alsace (now France).

Within the episode, the song 'Didn't Make 'em Dance' is sung by a representation of God in the form of a puppet created, voiced, and operated (as all puppets on Puppet History) by Shane Madej.

The song details God's initial claims that despite having been responsible for the catastrophic loss of the region's crops for numerous years leading up to the event–as well as many other factors that are believed to have contributed to the onset of the mass hysteria– that he did not actually cause the afflicted to dance during the plague. In the second verse, however, God reveals that to be a lie and the deity then admits to having been responsible for getting 'those dingbats to their feet'. That being said, God does insist that he has done worse things–such as the creation of bed bugs, pink eye, and Florida, Tampa and all other regions of the state included.
