American artist Post Malone teams up with rising star DaBaby on “Enemies,” an introspective collaboration. Post discusses the way that mainstream fame has impacted his relationships and how he responds to the disloyalty, while DaBaby raps about his newfound success and sends a warning shot to his enemies.
DaBaby teased a portion of his verse and a snippet of the chorus on his Instagram account, an hour before the album’s release.
This track marks the first time that either Post Malone and DaBaby have worked together.
"DaBaby is a legend and he is such a talented artist. I am so blessed that he got on this song with me. The whole idea of it was that I used to have people who I thought were my friends but turns out they’re really not. You find that a lot so we made a song about it!" - via Spotify
During the week ending September 21, 2019, “Enemies” debuted at #16 on the Hot 100.
