Poncherello is the new moniker for the solo work of Chris Familton. Previously recording under the name Doubtful Sounds, Familton also served time in 90’s New Zealand indie rock group Thorazine Shuffle and the heavier alt-rock Fontanelle. Since moving to Sydney in 1998 he has been collaborating with a range of musicians, most recently in the experimental krautronica duo Kompost.

The Electric Age is a new 3 track EP of nocturnal loops and half dreamt feelings. These are songs about wandering through thoughts, retaining identity and the intoxication of devotion. Constructed around guitar patterns, and coloured with electronic rhythms they take in post rock, indie and shoegaze influences. The Electric Age is a precursor to a full length album due for release in 2012.
