• It's one of those times again

    Whoops. It seems that I forgot about this thing for a short period of time. I've been so busy with grad school stuff that I actually didn't get much more new music since the last time I wrote. Also, it's hard to remember what that stuff was. One thing that stands out was a best-of George Thorogood and the Destroyers album, which was great. Anyway, here's some stuff I got over the holidays, complete with my thoughts after a few listens, and what will probably turn out to be way too many in-text tags:

    Jam Room - I'm glad I finally got some material in hard-copy form, because these guys are definitely awesome enough to warrant my support. This album is interesting, and not like much other stuff I've heard. When I heard the different version of Sink 'Em Low here (well, different from the one I heard first from my roomate playing Pure Rock Fury), I thought it might be an album of b-sides and alternate takes, but a little research has shown me that's not the case. …
