“When I’m Small“ is the second track on the Phantogram album Eyelid Movies. It tells the story of an abused woman and her inner conflict concerning her abusive partner. The music video reinforces the idea through imagery. The woman is visibly repressed by and silently scared of her partner. Her partner is emotionless, his abusiveness hidden. Only the woman’s outbursts are seen, painting her in a negative light to the public.
