Born in Naples in 1940, Peppino Gagliardi achieved his first success in 1963 with "T'amo e t'amerò" ("I love you and will love you"). Later on he took part in the festival of San Remo several times during the 60's and the early 70's, and in 1965 he also starred in the TV movie "008 Operazione ritmo", featuring Gianni Morandi, Bobby Solo and other popular artists of that time.
