Peach Preserves is an experimental funk-rock band. We were the illegitimate love child of a recording session in late July, a couple rhythm section players that enjoyed their band vibe and decided to take it farther than just one recording session. Jam band turned into composed pieces evolved into intricate musical ideas- we combine hard funk, hip hop, improvisation, and melody into a unique blend of enjoyable music that is aesthetically and musically pleasing.
Each musician in the group has dedicated their life to studying their instrument, and they hail from the world-renowned Eastman School of Music and University of Rochester in Rochester, NY.
Their first album, the self-titled "Peach Preserves", to debut in Spring 2012, was recorded live and is comprised of collectively-written originals and a new take on a classic Jimi Hendrix blues (Red House). Description provided by artist representative
