Name your top ten artists on Last.fm:

    1 Muse
    2 Radiohead
    3 The Beatles
    4 Patrick Wolf
    5 Rufus Wainwright
    6 Suzanne Vega
    7 Led Zeppelin
    8 Paul McCartney
    9 Emiliana Torrini
    10 Sigur Rós

How many times have you listened to number one (Muse)?

    Is this your favourite band?
Um no. Favourite contemporary band, yes.

What got you into number one?
Well... In mid-2006 I heard Megalomania (acoustic) and Starlight, and they put me off. And even though I already had Showbiz, Absolution and Black Holes and Revelations, I didn't want to give them a chance, the song titles themselves creeped me out slightly (creepy man, that Bellamy.) Then, over the following months I started to change my mind, and my ears picked up on the smoking hotness of Supermassive Black Hole, it did't sound overly creepy and angsty, just sexy and fun and well done, and I thought, okay, take 2.

Why have you listened to them so much?
Because I became obsessed with them at around the same time that I started using last.fm.

Yeah, okay, so I just spent a long time filling out the whole thing, then the computer froze. So I'm going to do it again.

Rules: Put your iPod on shuffle. Press forward for each question. Use the song title as the answer to the question. No cheating!

    1. How am I feeling today?:
    I Must Be in Love
I guess I must be in love!

    2. Will I get far in life?
    With a Little Luck
Yeah, I actually sort of hate that song, but the title does fit the question well.

    3. How do my friends see me?:
    Holding Out For A Hero
Okay, wanna know something weird? When I did this quiz for the first time, before my computer froze, I got the exact same song.

    4. When will I get Married?:
    Friends to Go
When my friends go away, I guess! :D

    5. What is my best friend's theme song?:
All I Wanna Do Iz Listen To Yuz
I remember, last time it was John Lennon's "My Mummy's Dead".

    6. What is the story of my life?:
Everybody's Trying to Be My Baby
    Haha! Yes, of course.

    7. What is/was highschool like?:
  • Music of 2005

My top ten albums of 2005 are as follows:

    10) Misty's Big Adventure - The Black Hole

Misty's Big Adventure are a wonderful band I first encountered supporting The Magic Numbers back in October at Sheffield Union. Their unashamedly bouncy poppy sound is enhanced by a tight brass section and some cleverly crafted humerous lyrics. The Black Hole shows that they can transfer their unique sound from the stage to record. Care-free music that will appeal to fans of all sorts of artists.

    Top Tracks:
    The Wising Up Song
Never Stops Never Rests Never Sleeps

    09) Sigur Rós - Takk...

I've only owned this album for less than a week, and perhaps had I bought it earlier in the year it would have charted higher in the list. This Icelandic group are popular around these parts, so you probably know more about them than I've already learned in my first few listens, but I really enjoy the other-worldly feel of this album - each time you listen you could go on a different journey, wherever the mood takes you.
