Relocated-Brit Tim Crabtree began Paper Beat Scissors following a move to Nova Scotia.
The music revolves around Crabtree's finger-picked guitar and haunting voice. The self-titled debut album was released on Forward Music Group in Canada. Produced by Mike Feuerstack (Snailhouse) and featuring some of the finest hands and mouths the Canadian music scene has to offer (including the Luyas' Pietro Amato on French Horn and Islands' Sebastian Chow on violin), it was mixed by Arcade Fire drummer Jeremy Gara.
