Walter Kubiczeck, the leader of this orchestra, was a famous composer in the German Democrated Republic.
He is famous for his soundtracks for movie and television, esp. for the TV-series "Das unsichtbare Visier" (the invisible visor), but wrote also popular music as well as instrumental orchestra pieces.
He was born on the 7th October 1931 in Berlin, where he still lives today.
