Of Roofs, Genes and Stolen Meanings was an Estonian chaotic hardcore band that formed in Tartu, Estonia in 2011.
"Imagine a liger in heat locked in a dark cargo container. The band's sound exhibits this sort of almost enforced hybridisation of genetically ferocious, variable, diverse, roaring, catchy and awesome music genres tied with the same bipolarity, emotionality, neuroticism and self-irony of an intelligent, large, horny but caged animal. A night with this young Estonian sextet will ensure a sonic pattern of claws on metal, tearing vocal chords, low roars, fast rattling and mellow purrring."
Of Roofs, Genes and Stolen Meanings' 2012 debut album One: Life to Learn, followed by the second album Two: Places to Call Home in 2014, was a great success in Estonian rock music underground.
In recent times they have shared the stage with the likes of Converge, Rotten Sound, Betraying the Martyrs, Enter Shikari and My Autumn; and yearly Tallinn Music Week performances proved the band's potential for the acquired taste abroad.
The band is known as Lowfuture from 2018 onwards.
