Not a Thing to Believe In was started by Erik David Hidde in 2007 as a means to release low fidelity music recorded on a digital camera microphone. In 2010, after a serious change in sound, the EPs “I Can Never Do Anything Passionate for the People I Care Most About” and “Don’t Kill Your Parents” were made and eventually put together with the addition of other songs to form the debut album “Human Cloud.” In late February 2011, a new single was released entitled “Post-Lost” featuring the b-side “Drifts.” Another single was released a month later on April Fool’s Day entitled “Living in Reverse” featuring the b-side “Forgiveness.” This project is currently on indefinite hiatus.
