This album was released on the 10th of January 2005, before its English version counterpart (Weltanschauung). The black metal songs are mostly the same as on the English-language version, but with vocals are in Russian (except for "Слава героям," which are in Ukrainian); however, all of the instrumentals with the exception of "Endless Vast Swamps" are completely different songs. It was released by Knjaz Varggoth's (the vocalist) own label Oriana.
This is Nokturnal Mortum's fifth full length, and is the most overtly folky of their back catalogue to that point. The whole album was recorded using real Ukrainian folk instruments. It also features more overt progressive rock influence, a trend which would continue on the band's later material.
