Back In Anger is a compilation of radio broadcast recordings of the1995 tour that combined David Bowie and Nine Inch Nails in concert. The sets would begin with very raw, stripped down versions of NIN songs. Then after about an hour, Bowie would join the band to play Subterraneans, one of his instrumentals from Low. The set would then segue into all-Bowie material, with NIN sharing the stage with Bowie's exceptional backup band including Mike Garson, Gail Dorsey and Reeves Gabrel among others. After a few tunes, NIN members except for Trent Reznor would leave the stage. Following a duo of Treznor's "Hurt," Bowie and his own band would close out. Most of the material played by David Bowie and his band was taken from the Bowie/Eno concept album Outside (1995).
