6 Aug 2008, 23:54 by suzqsTo say Neil Diamond was fabulous, marvelous, or wonderful would be an understatement. His voice rang loud and clear and true for each and every song during this two-hour concert. It started about 8:20 p.m. Neil Diamond came out and began in the middle of Holly Holy, and then sang the whole song. That was neat and I loved the first few songs with Neil playing the guitar.
My seats were fabulous and close enough for me to see him just fine without the aid of two large video screens at the Verizon Center. Neil made us all laugh when he turned to the people sitting behind the stage and said that somebody told him those people actually paid money for those seats, lol, and sang Play Me right to them. After he did a bunch of wonderful oldies including Cherry Cherry, he settled down on my side of the arena and sang his new songs, beginning with Home Before Dark. After he finished that song, the platform he was sitting on slid towards the other side of the house, where he sang Pretty Amazing Grace. …

1 May 2008, 02:24 by WhereImGoingHang on, folks...I have a feeling that tonight's gonna be a bumpy ride! "Paulagate" from last night is turning out to be the most controversial thing associated with "Idol" since Corey Clark accused Paula Abdul of having an affair. I'm sure they'll address it this evening, so let the spin begin!
First off, probably the worst group number of the season. The music just didn't fit these folks, and Jason has completely given up on even trying to be a part of this. The setup definitely gave an advantage to David A, but it was pretty weak all around.
Ooooh...we're acknowledging alumni tonight, with Constantine Maroulis and Gina Glocksen in the audience. Nice how Ryan then glides right past Ace Young. We get the recap, and notice how they throw the order off of who performed in what order? The Davids were at the end of the order, and Syesha and Brooke were at the beginning. I'm smelling some foreshadowing, but who knows.
