30 Dec 2014, 14:32 by nassuttaja2It is once again time to list some stuff. It is also once again time for me to wonder why the hell I always leave making this list to the last couple of weeks before the year ends. One would think that I'd learn something from a mistake I have now made for five years in a row... oh well. I recently went through my lists from 2012 and 2013, and I am surprised by how well they still hold up in 2014 (in the lists from 2009 to 2011 things start to get a bit funky). I guess my taste hasn't changed that radically over the last three or so years in terms of disliking things I have liked in the past, but the scale of my listening habits has definitely grown in terms of new interests. As always, this year's list is very much all over the place, but that is how I like it. This is a true representation of the type of stuff that I enjoy listening to on a daily basis. None of the albums listed made it because I thought they deserved to be included, but because I wanted them to be included.

The Beast shall be unleashed...
After strange aeons of endless waiting, the Cosmic Horror will finally be spread over this doomed Earth.
The - so long expected - debut EP is soon to be released in CD and Pro Tape format via Hell Productions (Thailand), La Medula Espiñal (Ecuador) and Chainsaw Gutsfuck (Germany).
6 Hymns of pure Ancient Metal ov Death that could awake the Great Old Ones themselves! Highly recommended for fans of H.P. lovecraft, Aleister Crowley, and Clark Ashton Smith. Almighty Hellhammer and Possessed, as well as Poison (Ger), Massacre, Pestilence, Mortuary Drape and Exorcist.
Prepare your soul for this blackened trip through the winding maze of endless nightly horrors.

30 May 2012, 04:45 by KMFCMi think they should just change it's name to "the only good thing about"
so every year it's "the only good thing about ___this year___"
Apparently the most people ever attended this year. I believe it. I didn't watch Electric Wizard, but if you see the photos of the crowd that was out there for them (even getting rained on. . .). . . .it looks like one of those fests in Europe there's so many people. I think a good chunk of those people were watching Cough earlier that day. That room was completely full. It might have been that full for Nasum on Friday. . .in fact I'm sure it was. . .but I didn't attempt to go to the spot under the fans that night, so I don't know.
So many people were there, I damn sure did not run into everyone I know that went.
So many people were there, the crusties were grossly outnumbered (to the point where some people think they just didn't show up. . . .even if Nausea was playing).

This journal entry will take you to places where you haven't been to in at least two weeks. Let us conclude the pre-beginning, and resume to the beginning.
The Wiggles were last mentioned in a journal back on the 23rd of September, 2008. In order to honour their contributions to childrens music, I will salute them here. I've been listening to two of their records recently, The Wiggles Go Bananas! and Sing A Song Of Wiggles. Both are very solid, great music and lovely vocals. Only thing that detracts from the experience is that the band are doing lots of cover songs, rather than pumping out the originals. Highlights include:
"Monkey Man (feat. Kylie Minogue)"
"Sing A Song Of Sixpence"
I particularly enjoy Carolyn Ferrie's (otherwise known as the voice of Dorothy the Dinosaur) singing here.
