Biography
Montserrat Franco is a Paraguayan American multidisciplinary artist (singer-songwriter, performer, author) and a Distilled Spirits professional.
From a long lineage of musicians and composers, she attended the WA Mozart Conservatory of Music at very early age to later graduate and evolve as an Opera Singer with internships at the Siena’s Chigiana Accademy and Rome’s Santa Cecilia in Italy.
In concerts she has performed in international venues such as the Marcello Theatre of Rome; the Jerusalem and Haifa Theatres, the Duvrovnik Palace in Croatia, the Melbourne and Perth Jazz Festivals; she has toured as a solo artist in cultural representations in Latin America, Europe and the USA.
A certified Court of Masters Sommelier AIS and WSET, twice awarded T Distinctive by the CRT in Jalisco, becoming the first American female Master Mezcalier recognized by Mexico’s State Department of Education in Oaxaca. She is also certified in Scotch Whisky by The Edinburgh Academy.
She combines poetry and music in collaborations with different philharmonic bands of the Southern State of Oaxaca, Mexico.
A polyglot she is fluent in 7 languages.
