Not only is Michael Graves the singer of the Misfits, he's also the singer and one of the back up dancers for the Venga Boys. He doesn't even have to take off his fishnet top when he goes from one live show to the next.

i think graves time as a front man and danzigs should almost be looked at as two separate bands in my opinion, they just sound so different and have such different approaches as frontmen judging one based off of the other kinda stinks

Ok, about two years ago he was scheduled to play with band here in munich, where i live. That gig got canceled and he organized an impromptu acoustic-set in a metal/punk bar with free entry. I decided to go there. About 20 people were there. He played stuff and spoke political questionable stuff in between, but that's not the story. Also in attendance was a 19 year old goth-girl from stuttgart who talked to literally everyone at the show, including me. She told me, her 30 year-old boyfriend had broken up with her a week ago and they actually wanted to come to the gig together. He was a huge Graves-Fan. Now she wanted Graves to sign her arm and the next day she had an appointment at a tattoo-parlor to get the signature done. It was clear, that she didnt like Graves herself, she didnt know any song, she just wanted that tattoo to get her boyfriend back or so. It might be presumptuous to say that, but i am sure. After the show, she told exactly that story to Michale Graves....

.... He started smiling and said, "that's a huge honour", took his stupid permanent marker and drew the biggest signature I ever saw on that girls arm. From the hand to the elbow. How full of himself is this man? :D Everyone realized this girl is not in a good place in her psyche and had huge insecurity-problems. He could have said something like: "Hey, thanks a lot, but you might wanna think about that for a bit." Or simply drawn a normal-sized autograph. I then approached him, saying: "You think, you made it big enough?" He was angry and told me to stay out of it (which i normally do, but his (presumably) coked-up narcissist behavior annoyed me. (Narcissist meeting easily influenced sad girl is a bad combination). Then his crew, who was in attendance having nothing to do, stood up and told me to get away. I shouted, that the gig sucked and went into another room/corner of the bar. I was a bit afraid to meet him or the crew again. Haha.Bottomline: I hope the girl didnt get the tattoo.

Maybe the North Side Kings' vocalist is fat, but he'll beat the shit out of most guys in this chat. If you're 1,60 meters "tall" (weighing 120 kilos, ish), don't call a guy who's 2 meters (weighing about 150 kilos) a "fucker". Especially not when this guy is a badass and half of your age. I've heard stories about Glenn in the 1990's, having a black belt in Jeet Kune Do, for example (I bet he also has the 7th Dan in "Super-Ego"). But all this doesn't make a man invincible.

I love both, but don't get the comparison, or think either were for boomers. One was an underground punk band in the Gen X era, the other was a huge radio rock band in the millennial era. MCR weren't even punk most of the time. What's the comparison? They both like horror comics?
