Biography

The Minnesota Twins are a Major League Baseball team, which started play in 1961 after relocating from Washington, D.C. They originally played in Metropolitan Stadium in Bloomington, Minnesota, but relocated to the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis in 1982, then their new outdoor stadium in 2010. The won World Series titles in 1987 and 1991, an additional American League pennant in 1965, and 12 total playoff appearances through 2017. Star players have included Kirby Puckett, Harmon Killebrew, Rod Carew, Tony Oliva, Kent Hrbek, Bert Blyleven, Joe Mauer, Torii Hunter, and Brian Dozier.
