Midnight Riptide is a Pop/Rock/EDM band formed in Nov, 2016 with members from all over the globe. Such as; The United States, India, Greece, Croatia and The United Kingdom. It is led by Melvin George and Co-founders Sarah Vardi, Josh Scalz, Jordan Levy, Joy xx, Mimi Sparks, Richard Clash, Terezija Štimec, Ricardo Forbes and Jerry Clark Tebbs. These aspiring individuals are connected over social media with the aspect of taking the band on a live performance.

The formation of the band began in early 2015, when Melvin George, an independent Songwriter who is from India and EDM producer Ricardo Forbes from Florida, US, met through a Facebook Music group and teamed up in 2015 as a duo, with the dream of producing a song. During this period they made Music and lyrics for a song, titled as "Electric Lights". Melvin George introduced a friend, Miriam Amoako known for her stage name Mimi sparks, from Ghana, a girl who had dreams to become a singer, to the team to help them with composing. They couldn't complete the song due to lack of quality vocals, which resulted in searching for a vocalist to complete the song. In 2016 Melvin George met Sarah vardi, a girl with the dream of working in Music industry, joined the team with financial support required for the team. They extended their search for a vocalist for the Single Electric Lights and soon the team found Joshua Scalzitti know for his stage name Josh Scalz, from his YouTube channel, who is a singer, composer from Indiana, US. With five members on the team, they continued their work on "Electric Lights". Later they had the idea of converting the team into a band. But they lacked a female vocalist. Meanwhile the crew found Chara Spyropoulou know for her stage name Joy, a YouTube singer from Athens, Greece, from a Facebook group and invited her to join the group. With Joy onboard, the team became more efficient. But they faced composing song as time consuming. The crew extended their search for a composer to make the band efficient. Soon they found Jordan Levy, a YouTube Singer and composer from New York, US, through a Facebook group of musicians. By the introduction of Jordan Levy as a composer and singer, the team decided to make an Album instead of a Single. Having artists of different genres within the group, the band decided to produce multi-genre music. Melvin George started working on lyrics for the Album and soon came up with new lyrics. With the help of Jordan Levy as co-writer, the band polished the lyrics while Jordan Levy and Josh Scalz wrote 2 songs individually, which is named as "Every Second Counts" and "Cloud Memories". By combining the lyrics from Melvin George, Midnight Riptide has 8 songs required to build an Album. Composing music again consumed time, and the band reached out to Jerry Clark Tebbs, an iTunes Podcast music producer from US, whom Midnight Riptide met in an EDM club in Facebook, to help them with production and also as a drummer for on stage performance. The live performance aspect of the band made the team search for instrumentalists, which lead to find Terezija Štimec, a Keyboardist from the United Kingdom, who met the band through a Facebook artist group. Later the band met Richard Clash, a Guitarist from Mexico, through a Facebook group for guitarists, who joined the team to pursue their dreams. Soon after the formation of the band, Midnight Riptide named the First Album as "Every Second Counts" in 2016 and independently released a single, which is titled as 'Cloud Memories' during 2017.
