The band merci Miss Monroe was formed on the last day of the year 2000. Matteo, Fabio and Davide were playing in a punk band at that time, but they decided that it was high time they played more intimate songs. The band took its name from three words beginning with the letter M, three words everyone knows. merci Miss Monroe recorded a demo in 2002 at La Sauna Studio in Varano Borghi (Varese) and got signed to Ghost Records in the very same year.
