1978 (age 40)
Born in Berlin in 1978, Max Koffler has long experience as a guitarist, singer, and music producer. Koffler combines energetic melodies with his magically charged voice to create a multifaceted sound that is inspired by numerous genres. Pop, rock, blues, and electronic coalesce in songs that range from the subdued and melancholic to the buoyant and loud. Koffler's music always displays a diversity of sounds – as well as a deep commitment to the work itself, in the absence of posturing.
Koffler has won numerous contests, has produced music for movies and television, has performed concerts with Neil Young, and has dedicated fan base in Asia. The former front man for the rock band Kerosin, Koffler is currently collaborating with his band Seoulmates as well as the multiple Grammy Award winner Jimmy Douglass, who mixed Koffler's most recent album at his Magic Mix Studios in Miami.
Taboo, Koffler's 2008 solo album, is loved by fans for its powerful lyricism. His second album GAMES displays a masterful talent for playfully combining elements of different genres. GAMES is a veritable playground of sound and treats listeners to infectious tracks such as "Choose Your Fate", a poetic ode to Berlin and its special sense of freedom.
Eagerly awaited, GAMES is released in March of 2017.
