Maurice Dollison, also known as Cash McCall, (Morris Dollison Jr., January 28, 1941 - April 20, 2019) was an American soul and blues singer, songwriter and guitarist. Maurice Dollison migrated to Chicago from Missouri and spent sometime playing alongside Otis Clay. Earth Worm Part 1 was Dollison's debut 45 in 1963, co-written with Monk Higgins. Earth Worm is a gritty, mid-tempo slice of Chicago dance party R&B, with some nice guitar bubbling underneath and cool percussion. He was best known for his 1966 R&B hit "When You Wake Up". Over his long career, his musical style evolved from gospel music to soul and blues.
