I've been looking for an old picture of matt skiba and chuck ragan hanging out together in black and white. anyone know which i'm one talking about? i use to have it, but now its disappeared off the face of the internet.. please leave me a pm if you have it!
With all the crap thrown around about this 'Demos' release, I'd put off giving the mp3s a spin until today, and with such low expectations, I rather enjoyed it. Some of them remind me of older Alk3 (good thing). Album is kind of hit or miss, but whatever
okay ive been a long alkaline trio (and side projects) fan. but this solo album is bland.
i mean the songs could be good, they just deff need to be reworked. and he dropped the mac garage band and maybe used acid pro or logic, but hey they are just demos right.
and plus the whole bike theme was nice.
@kylelikescoffee Although I disagree that anything on Demos is boring, it's called Demos because they are just that...demos. They aren't finished. Eventually he's going to release an actual solo album where the songs will be more complete :)
Anyways, here's what's going on in the world of Asian Man....
The MATT SKIBA "Demos" release slated for FEB. 16th is going to be pushed back until after the new Alkaline Trio album is released. Yeah, bummer bummer bummer, but when you're in a big band like the trio, sometimes you have to play by the rules of the big wigs in charge of whatever big wigs do. Matt told me he'd let me know as soon as possible in terms of a release date. But shoootzzz......the album is finished, mastered, and ready to be delivered as soon as we are given an exact date. Sorry if this causes any heartache to anyone, but will keep you updated as soon as we know what's going on.
Alkaline Trio vocalist/bassist Dan Andriano has started a new solo-project called Emergency Room.
Andriano will debut his new tunes out on the road in the US next month for a series of dates including shows with former labelmates The Get Up Kids
"I've been working on a lot of new songs and I'm pretty excited to get out and play them," he says. "And yes, I'll probably be playing a couple Alkaline Trio songs. Maybe someday this will become a band, I do not know. What I do know is that for these shows, I will be all alone."
In related news, Alkaline Trio vocalist/guitarist Matt Skiba will release a solo album of his own early next year.
