Mark van Veen is a dutch singer/songwriter. He is well known for his experimental chord progression (like the prelude in G) and his talent for improvisation.
Mark van Veen is a pseudonym.
The band was formerly called: Mark van Veen en de homo's uit het gat waar de zon nooit schijnt. But Mark thought this name was too long for his band, and in order to shorten it, he fired his other bandmates : the 'homos uit het gat waar de zon nooit schijnt', and continued on his own.
Less is known about Mark's activities. Some say he now plays in a goregrind band, while others swear he plays neofolk.
What we do know, is that Mark still hasn’t found a record label. Most labels just can’t seem to accept his experimental approach to the guitar, which bears strong influences of the attitude towrds music much like the Carribean singer Lobo.
