from what i can recall, a lot of people have looked into this and the general consensus is he passed away a while back. the only music fan in contact with him, from what i'm aware, was steve stanley. looking on a forum post, it looks like people tried to no avail. :( https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/mark-eric.809646/

if you can find a vinyl rip i highly recommend listening to that, it's the definitive album experience imo. it brings to light that the CD release unfortunately suffered from the loudness war issues sans the vocals, which seem to be nearly exactly the same
