6 Dec 2008, 04:36 by thebrucewayneWhen I lived in Spain a few years ago, I learnt a thing or two. I learned that Spain is NOT Mexico, as a lot of North Americans are wont to believe, assume, expect. I learned that Mexico is the way it is because of Spain -- The good, the bad, the ugly. I love Mexico, and I truly love Spain. One of the people in Spain that influenced me exponentially was a very beautiful person from San Fernando. I fell in love with her and stupidly messed it up... as I'm very good at doing. So anyway, she had great taste in everything, but I'm not so sure about her music, now that I look back. She had me HOOKED on Spanish pop. I don't know much else about music from the Iberian Peninsula, but whenever I hear Spanish pop, I wax sentimentally and am lost in nostalgia. Here are some of the groups (with the help of last.fm) that I still hear when I think of downtown Cadiz, Jerez, and the beaches of Costa de la Luz & Costa del Sol:

19 Sep 2008, 13:32 by edimervaldo2006: a bad and very hard year. In music, I just followed the trends started the years before.
Due to the fact almost all the music I listened to that year was scrobbled to last.fm, the top20 is basically my last.fm's top20 for that year.
This top20 is not considered as retrospective, since it was made soon after 2006 was finished.
Here we are with the 20 most important songs for that year.
20 - The Beach Boys - Good Vibrations Very classic song of theirs. Very nice vocals.
19 - Ramones - Take It As It Comes It took me a long time to discover that it's actually a The Door's song. But both versions sound really good.
18 - Gene Vincent - It's No Lie In this year I made a Gene Vincent's revival. And this song was the most played then.
17 - Erika - Right or Wrong Every year features a dance song. That time was that song.
16 - Mafalda Arnauth - Quase Imortal It's FADO time. This song had been my #1 in Last.fm for months.
15 - Mondo Marcio - Dentro Alla Scatola It's Italian rap. …

13 Jul 2006, 05:02 by AdriaNnLAI should call this my extended personal recommended list.
The sole purpose of this journal entry is to store a handful of artists / albums / tracks which have been recommended to me or that I've stumbled across and would like to review.
These may have been personally recommended to me from friends, neighbors or fellow group members. They also come from similar artists (on a liked artist page), something I heard on my launchcast radio station, etc.
Only at the time of their addition to this list they are not yet streamable on last.fm
This clutters up my recommended lists with "useless" entries, yet I don't want to just purge and lose them.
So until last.fm implements a bookmark or fans list we can maintain in our dashboard, I'll be storing them here.
And if I'm not mistaken (hopefully) little green or gold play buttons will alert me to newly streamable content - woot!
Once I realize an artist listed here is streamable on last. …
