SO. FREAKING. EXCITED.
I've been meaning to get into more R&B than I have--I've enjoyed Macy Gray and John Legend, and have been meaning to give India.Arie and Floetry some time to musically bond with. The whole style is actually somewhat outside my musical comfort zone, but I've definitely been enjoying what I've heard. Tweet is also on the "to explore" list, even if I disliked "Oops (Oh My)"--I'm told it doesn't really even represent her work at all.
On the exploring list this week--Shades of Yale, Leiahdorus and Brave New World. Need to start writing feedback on the stuff I get from Amazon. :X
That being said, I've been let down with my attempts to get into folk and rockabilly. I know on a fundamental level that I enjoy the sound, but I keep hitting snags--I can't stand Nanci Griffith…
