From the Gravesend section of Brooklyn, New York comes M-TRI, the triple-threat of emcee, producer, and deejay. Hearing the music of RUN DMC, LL Cool J, Rakim, and Big Daddy Kane was his inspiration to pick up the pen and begin writing rhymes. The acronym M-TRI is taken from his birth name, Max Triolo. With his honest approach of being himself through his lyrical content and production comes his debut album, ”Max Talkin Real Ism.”
Being an emcee, deejay, and producer, this hip hop architect is constantly building. Through his subject matter, wordplay, punchlines, metaphors, and of course, his flow, M-TRI is a well rounded emcee. Along with writing, collecting and spinning vinyl records (yes vinyl) was a passion that opened up the doors to production.
He has peformed at numerous venues throughout NYC over the years as an emcee and deejay. In 2000 he was featured on DJ Blowout’s “Verses vs. Beats,” a compilation of NYC’s most elite underground emcees over DJ Blowout’s production. He has also toured with Sabac Red from Non-Phixion as his deejay opening for Jedi Mind Tricks and The Beatnuts.
