There are four artists with this name:

Lydia (1) is a five piece indie rock group from Gilbert, Arizona. They are on HourZero Records.

Lydia, when forming in 2003, set their creativity forth to a path of artistic independence away from any comparisons to bands in their genre. By combining traditional rock with dream-like harmonies and reflective choruses, the band gradually adopted a reputation as a group of young musicians destined to break through to the mainstream.

But it’s their veteran level of dedication that allowed them to first become noticed in the summer of 2004.

The band won a nationwide talent search hosted by Atticus Clothing, for a slot on the Atticus- Dragging The Lake 3 (Side One Dummy) compilation. After securing a spot on the compilation, their recognition as Arizona’s leading indie band led to performances with headliners, Coheed and Cambria, Alien Ant Farm, and Sum 41 on the “Zumiez Couch Tour” – showcasing the band’s versatility, while allowing them to reach fans across the country.

Lydia’s debut album, “This December; It's One More and I'm Free” is set to be released in September on HourZero Records. The album is a haunting collection of shifting moods and poetry accompanied by music of thoughtful and often times refreshing orchestration. Listeners are always surprised to find that the musicians behind such a mature sound are merely 18 year old kids. But it’s that very misconception that is contributing to Lydia’s sudden surge in popularity, as they tour the country connecting with young crowds who are desperate to find something to get them over the latest fads. When played live, the songs present the audience with an atmosphere of interwoven desire and heartache.

With their youngest member finally out of high school, Lydia is now touring full time, and will be supporting their freshman effort throughout the rest of the year.

They are currently writing their first new song since Mindy White joined the band. It will be included in the next installment of the Atticus - Dragging The Lake series. They were also included in the '100 Bands You Need To Know In 2006' in the April 2006 edition of Alternative Press magazine.

Lydia (2) is a five-piece indie rock group from Norrköping, Sweden.
With a focus on melodic tunes, emotional lyrics and the fantastic voice of singer Henka, the band’s music turns out to be a balanced mix between melodic pop and arena hard rock.

In 2005, Lydia released their debut album Gloria Can’t Dance (including the hit single with the same name) on NZW Records.

Lydia (3) is also a Spanish pop singer who has represented Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest, year 1999.

Lydia (4) Also known as Dear Visutthithada, Lydia is Thailand’s newest R&B idol phenomenon. 'Lydia' means 'success' in Polish just like her real thai name 'Sarunrat'. She has been intensively training vocally since age 5, and is excited to have her dream of being a pop star come true. Instruments she plays include flute, saxaphone, drums, and piano. Lydia completed high school at the International School of Bangkok where she sang in an acapella group called 'UNDEFINED' and won the ISB Idol competition with her friend. She graduated as Vice President of her class, and with a 3.9 GPA. Lydia then accepted a place in the Northwestern Class of 2009 before beginning her singing career in Thailand. She has since applied to Harvard University in New York and expects immediate acceptance. Since skyrocketing to fame, she has produced two hit albums, and one joint album with Thailand’s popular pop group Dream II. Her hit single, “Wang Leaw Chuay Toh Klub”, held the number one spot on Thailand’s radio stations for consecutive weeks after its release.
