There are multiple projects named Luminescence. 1) the side project of composer Jonathan Rosenthal, formerly of black metal band Bergtagen. 2) an instrumental progressive metal outfit from Slovenia.

1) In collaboration with arranger and producer Kevin O'Donnell, Rosenthal strives to achieve an accurate reflection of the simple, the ordinary and the mundane. It has been said that Rosenthal's work emulates the simplicity and persistence of nature with its thoughtful and hypnotic pulse, slowly transforming into something new.

2) a duo of artists from Slovenia play instrumental progressive metal. Dominik plays drums, with Sani covering everything else!
