Luisterwaar, his last years release Dry/Wet was one of the most successful SATURATE! releases ever and the first in a series of equally successful releases from his Heerlen fellas Subp Yao and Raadsel.

It marked a final cut with all the experiments Luisterwaar is into and the beginnning of a period where he found his very individual sound with a lots of elects from sounddesign, found sounds, field recordings and generally just banging on everything laying around, sometimes even a synthesizer.

Where this release was the birth of Luisterwaar, and already became a future classic, with Illuminants we find a much more adult release, which shows the skillset of a fully ripened producer , who studied the metaphysics of music to become an absolute master of his craft. The mixdowns are crystal-clear, clean and striking of power. The music itself takes your mind away into a different world, full of melody and crunchy beats and basslines. Listening to Illuminants you will find a lot of space and time, filled with meticulously crafted soundscapes and polyrhythmic beats, in which Luisterwaar developes his musical themes and still manages to make you dance and move. And all of a sudden you'll be thrown in a heavily oscillating synth mayhem, we promise you, it will blow you out of the frame. Illuminants, he says, came with the thought that these track were the highlight-tracks for STRT!, all dedicated to share his musical love with everybody. And these few pieces only represent a small selection of his large output (heres his latest self released ep and his multi-mega beattape "The Skit Has Hit The Fan" will be released soon, too).
